Who is Cox Manufacturing?
We were founded by William Cox, an industry pioneer in 1932. He established our Hickory, NC company's unique marketing vision by focusing the initial product offering of unique, small scale "boudoir" furniture. Upon his death in the early 50's, long-time employees formed a buying group and continued the company's tradition and character.

The Romeo family, present owners, purchased the company in 1972. Under the guidance of a father, then a son, the company has expanded it's niche focus and vision to capture a industry leading position as a source for stylish, quality driven accent upholstery. Three manufacturing expansions have occurred since 1973, recently culminating in Cox moving it's operations in 2004 to the state of the art new operations center located in Hildebran, NC.
